Twitter's Algorithm + Your Business. What Does it All Mean?
Twitter recently announced their new algorithm.
Why should this matter to you?
If you're a content consumer, it means that the DEFAULT setting now only shows you the best tweets, (aka most popular, engaging, etc.) rather than the usual jumble that is your timeline. It basically keeps important stuff at the top, but most likely many friend's and companies you like to follow will go unnoticed.
If you're a content creator, this might not seem like great news. But it's not the end of the world. In fact, what it actually means is what Twitter will learn and pick up on the content the user engages with. So while a user might not stumble over your content as they scroll their timeline on a random Tuesday evening, you will more than likely start to find consumers & potential customers who are more interested in your product and content.
Since the product is new, there certainly isn't much to be known about the success or results of this change, but we will no doubt be hearing results in a short number of months.
Until then? How to master the algorithm and make it work for YOU?
Well for starters, how about some killer content?! You certainly don't want to read boring stories or see ugly photos on your timeline, right? So why would you post that kind of content?
Start with some awesome and engaging content, and you're headed somewhere! Pair that with a powerful marketing strategy and you're headed somewhere.
